Camp Northstar here we come! This coming week is Unity North's annual Camp Northstar and the kids are in for quite an adventure. We will set sail and journey to Isreal, India, China, Egypt and Italy to learn about cultures and religions from all over the world and how each connects to our 5 basic Unity principles. Kids will enjoy meditation, a daily story/lesson, arts and crafts, inside and outside games and activities and song and prayer. Camp will run from 9-1 and campers will be bringing their lunch and eating in the galley each day!
For the first time this year, we will be offering after camp care. Please get in touch with a camp volunteer to see how you can take advantage of this awesome opportunity.

Great things are happening at KIDZ Church!
Hello!
We are so lucky to be in this glorious time of Spring and preparing for Easter next week. We are planning a lesson about Easter and then a big, fun Easter egg hunt for all the classes. Parents, please bring a basket or bag for your children to gather eggs in.
We have been up to great things in our church community including each of the kid's classes going outside and planting new flowers in the peace garden as well as in the community organic garden. The kid's had time to pray over their seeds before planting them and then we blessed the garden as a group. Sunflowers will be blooming before we know it!
Many of the kids will be moving up to the next class coming up in May. Rising 3 year olds will move into UniKidz with Ms. Christy; rising kindergartners will move up to Kidz I with Ms. Kathy; rising second graders will move up to Kidz II with Ms. Mandy and rising fourth graders will move up to Kidz III with Ms. Kimmy. Rising sixth graders will move up to Uniteens. There will be several Sundays for this transition so that the kids and parents feel comfortable with where the kids are moving. We are all so excited for this time and as sad as we are to let go of some kids, we are even more excited to welcome new ones. If you have ay comments or concerns, please ask your teachers for specifics.
And last but certainly not least, CAMP NORTHSTAR REGISTRATION IS ON!!! There are registration forms just outside of Holy Grounds Cafe near the UniKidz room. There are also forms available in each room and on the Unity North Atlanta website. The week for camp is July 18-22, from 9am-1pm and it is for ages Kindergarten through 5th grade. Any rising sixth graders who want to volunteer are welcome. We welcome adult volunteers for the week too! Volunteer forms are located outside Holy Grounds as well. Please join us in this magical week where we have nothing but a whole lot of fun! Your kids will love it and so will you.

Thanks Jordan Pilzer and Parent's Night Out Volunteers!
The season of love is all around us and we are fortunate to have had a wonderful weekend in Kidz church.
On Saturday night we had a great group of kids and volunteers come out for our 2nd Parent' Night Out. We painted Valentine's Day inspired frames, had pizza, played games and watched movies. The highlight of the evening was when the kids got to hoola-hoop with the direction of expert hooper Lorene Shaw. Thanks so much to Lorene and her family for helping us hoop into happiness! The next Parent's Night will most likely be in the spring. Please keep your eyes and ears open and be prepared to drop your kiddos off and take your sweetheart out on the town!
Jordan Pilzer joined our Kidz classes today to share inspirational tales of compassion, love and acceptance. We are grateful for Jordan's talents and are blessed to have him volunteer his time with our youth ministry. Many thanks to Jordan for sharing his gifts with us today.

Parents Night Out! Kidz Night Out Too!
Hey Parents! This is your chance for a Date Night! We are having our second Parents Night Out on Saturday Feb. 12 from 6:30 pm - 10:30 pm. It is a New Year and we have kicked it off to a great start down in Kidz Church! The UniKidz (3-5 yrs) focused their lessons on peace during January. This month, in honor of Valentine's Day, their lessons will focus on love.
Last week Kidz I (Kindergarten and 1st grade) had their lesson on inclusion and talked about the 64 days of Peace & Non-violence. This week they are doing their lesson on St. Francis of Assisi. Please encourage your kids and your family to take a look at the daily practices for the 64 days of Peace and Non-Violence. One great site with the 64 day practice for both kids and adults is

Kidz II (2nd and 3rd grade) and Kidz III (4th and 5th grade) are using the Joyful Path curriculum and teaching lessons such as Filing Our Hearts and Minds with Goodness, Courage and Experiencing the Peace of Spirit and Knowing Our True Self. We we also be exploring topics related to the season of peace and non-violence.
We are blessed to spend time with your children each week. Thank you for sharing them with us.
